Maximum Space utilization for small studio apartments Iconic Furniture: Furniture Store Mississauga

All of us have at some point moved into a small studio apartment. So small that less seemed way more. You must have even considered giving away some of your furniture just so you have more leg space in front of your sofa. I can truly identify with the situation. My first apartment was just 200 square feet and it was hell of a job to preserve space while having all that you need in a home.
So how to do it? It's all creative thinking. Here are some amazing ideas that'll surely solve your little studio problems:

Go for innovative furniture design
I strolled and scrolled through various furniture stores till I came across Iconic Furniture, a fairly known furniture store in Mississauga and ordered a custom accent chair. I did other rounds for foldable furniture as well. A chair that doubles up as a recliner, small accent chairs for sofa, and a recliner that doubled up as a bed were some of the ideas that worked for me. I even came across a wonderful high/low chair that is convertible from a high to low chair by just turning it upside down. Now that's creative.

Mirror effect
With this idea, your views about mirror placement will revolutionize. Did you know you can increase the amount of natural light entering your apartment by just installing reflective mirrors near windows? You definitely can. Installed at an angle, these can reflect the bypassing natural light into your home.

Go Vertical
With a small apartment as mine, there is a limited scope of horizontal expansion. So where you go from there? I say we go up. Vertical bookshelves, high kitchen cabinets are some of the additions you can make to incorporate your stuff. Another addition you'll need with this is a step ladder. Or date a tall guy.

Lighter Interiors
It's a fact that painting inner walls with light colors such as white, off white of lighter shades of pink or blue will make your apartment appear larger than it is. It's an illusion effect but it works wonders in designing overall ambience your home. Natural light when falls on these walls brighten up your home due to more reflection and less absorption of  radiation. In summers, your home will be cooler.

Recycle, recycle and then recycle some more
With small apartment space, one becomes inclined towards throwing away unnecessary stuff. While you must get rid of broken, utterly wasteful things, some things can be reused. For example, a used up wooden chopping board can be colored brightly. Hammer some hooks in there and you have a beautiful key holder that doesn't demand much space and adds color to your walls.
Therefore, with a few smart furniture choices and presence of mind, you can transform your small studio into a cozy paradise. I personally feel that small apartments are the best in terms of space utilization. After all, with a bigger space in hand, you wouldn't care about innovative thinking, would you?
